Last updated 22 June 2026. Terms for the website, downloads, and open-source software.
Vestyn is open-source software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. You may run, copy, modify, and distribute it under those license terms. The full license text ships with the source code.
Vestyn is self-hosted. We do not provide a managed cloud vault on vestyn.app. If you run a Vestyn server, you are responsible for operating it, securing it, backing it up, and complying with laws that apply to you and your users.
The software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Vestyn manages sensitive credentials; you are responsible for your master password, your backups, your devices, and the security of any instance you operate. We are not liable for data loss or compromise arising from your deployment.
We publish checksums and release metadata for convenience, but you are responsible for deciding whether to install or update software on your devices. Use the published checksum and your operating system’s signing/notarization checks before installing release artifacts.
Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scan abusively, or break into the vestyn.app website or its download infrastructure. Do not use our marks to imply endorsement of a fork, service, or build without permission.
The Vestyn name and logo are project marks. The AGPL-3.0 license covers the code, not the brand. If you distribute a modified version, use your own name and marks unless you have written permission.
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the website means you accept the current terms.
